Contagious Community & Northwest Ohio Events
The Mark Stoller HogRun got a mention today on the blog Contagious Community! Check it out here Contagious Community
Contagious Community is run by bloggers Amber and Heather to "serve as a space for them to share their experiences and the experiences of others with those interested in making Northeast Indiana a better place to live. Their hope is to inspire folks to action.". What a great mission! Love getting connected to other like minded folks who want to serve their community.
We also recent got a mention from "Northwest Ohio Events" on Facebook. They do such a great job keeping everyone updated on things to do in Northwest Ohio. Like them on Facebook so you can be in the know too! Northwest Ohio Events
Thanks to Contagious Community, Northwest Ohio Events and all those who are helping us get the word out about October 13th. It will be a day filled with fun, food and fellowship!

A month away!
We are just about a month away from the 4th Annual Mark Stoller HogRun. Hard to believe it is getting so close! Sponsors are still coming in for the event. As of today, we have 24 local companies and 4 families on board. Visit our sponsor page to see all those who have committed to helping build hope through housing in Paulding County. It's a little overwhelming to think about how many people cared about Mark and about this cause.
On that note, we know that Mark would not have wanted any of the focus on himself for this event. Or as Steffenie (his daughter) put it:
"I've thought about him standing at the Fairgrounds watching the HogRun unfold, realizing that it was all done for him. I can see his grin and him feeling very unworthy of all the fuss. But he would eventually take the microphone, as we all know he loved the opportunity for a good speech, and quickly deflect the attention off himself and toward the need of the community and the good work of those who were helping to fulfill that need. If he could find the chance, he'd also tell the crowd about the One who is able to fulfill all our needs and ease all our pain. Then he'd happily talk to his good friends til he was the last one in the parking lot. Can't you see that?"
For those who knew Mark, I think we know this is what he would do if he would be with us on the 13th. Although he wouldn't have wanted a fuss on him, he would have been so excited to raise money for this worthy goal.
There is still plenty of time to get involved! Whether it's running, walking, sponsoring, or volunteering, we need your help to help those in need. And in doing so, we will honor Mark's memory.
